Mr. Pastella,
My name is Jeff Rogers. I am a longtime local contractor and small business owner, and I am reaching out regarding the death of my brother, Jimmy Rogers , who was found deceased in West Norriton Township in May 2023.
One of the main reasons I wanted to contact you is to make you aware of our family’s experience trying to get assistance from Representative Joe Webster’s office.
Over the past several years, we wrote, called, followed up, and personally visited his office seeking help or, at the very least, an opportunity to have our concerns heard. From our perspective, we were repeatedly met with zero engagement or response. We reached out to him over ten times which consisted of telephone calls, emails, verified mail (which he did sign for on at least one occasion) and I also made many visits to his office only to be told he will get back to us…..He never did.
We were not asking Representative Webster to agree with us about what happened to Jimmy. We were asking an elected representative to listen, review the concerns we had documented, and help us understand whether there was any avenue available to obtain answers.
That experience left our family extremely disappointed in the level of responsiveness we received from an office that represents people in our community.
I understand that you are currently running against Representative Webster. If our documented experience with his office is something you believe is relevant to your understanding of constituent service, responsiveness, or government accountability, I would be willing to speak with you and provide the correspondence, timeline, and details of our attempts to obtain assistance.
Separately, I would also appreciate the opportunity to tell you about Jimmy’s case itself and why our family continues to have serious unanswered questions.
I am not asking you to reach any conclusions in advance. I simply wanted to make sure you were aware of our experience and give you the opportunity to review it for yourself.
Thank you for your time.
Jeff Rogers
